These terms cover this website and the waitlist. They are deliberately short because there is not yet a product to agree about. Terms for the app itself will be published before it opens.

What this site is

A description of something being built. Nothing here is a promise that Adrift will ship, that it will work the way these pages describe, or that it will be available where you live. The screens shown are concepts, drawn to explain the idea, and are labelled as such.

The waitlist

Joining it costs nothing and commits you to nothing. It is not a queue, a place in line or a guarantee of access. We may invite people in whatever order makes the first test work, and we may close the list at any time.

Using the site

Please do not attempt to break it, script the form, or submit addresses that are not yours. We rate limit submissions and may block abusive traffic.

Intent, once there is a product

Adrift is intended to be free to use, with no advertising and no paid advantage in finding or being found. That is a design commitment we are building around rather than a contractual guarantee, and if it ever has to change we will say so plainly rather than quietly.

Changes

These terms will be replaced by fuller ones before launch. The date at the top says when this version was written.
